JUVENILES:  Provides relative to the membership of the Juvenile Justice Reform Act
Implementation Commission
1	AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 46:2751(B)(1)(h), relative to the Juvenile Justice Reform Act Implementation
3 Commission; to provide relative to the membership of commission; to add a
4 representative of the Families and Friends of Louisiana's Incarcerated Children to the
5 commission membership; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 46:2751(B)(1)(h) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 
8 ยง2751.  Juvenile Justice Reform Act Implementation Commission; creation;
9	composition; duties

11	B.(1)  The commission shall be composed as follows:

13	(h)  A representative of the Families and Friends of Louisiana's Incarcerated
14 Children.

Abstract:  Adds a representative of the Families and Friends of Louisiana's Incarcerated
Children to the membership of the Juvenile Justice Reform Act Implementation
Commission.
Present law provides for the Juvenile Justice Reform Act Implementation Commission
which is comprised of the following members:
(1)The chief justice of the supreme court or an associate justice of the supreme court
appointed by the chief justice of the state supreme court.
(2)One senator appointed by the president of the Senate.
(3)The commissioner of administration.
(4)The vice president for Administration and Management, Southern University and
A&M College or his designee.
(5)One representative appointed by the speaker of the House.
(6)One representative appointed by the La. District Attorneys Association.
(7)One representative appointed by the state public defender.
Proposed law retains present law and adds a representative of the Families and Friends of
Louisiana's Incarcerated Children to the membership of the Juvenile Justice Reform Act
Implementation Commission.
