DRUGS/CONTROLLED: Repeals the termination date of laws authorizing the
recommendation or prescription of medical marijuana in the treatment of certain
debilitating medical conditions

2To repeal R.S. 40:1046(J) and R.S. 40:1046(J) as amended and reenacted by Section 2 of
3 Act No. 96 of the 2016 Regular Session of the Legislature of Louisiana, relative to
4 medical marijuana; to repeal the termination date for recommending or prescribing
5 marijuana for therapeutic use; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 40:1046(J) is hereby repealed in its entirety.
8 Section 2. R.S. 40:1046(J) as amended and reenacted by Section 2 of Act No. 96 of
9the 2016 Regular Session of the Legislature of Louisiana is hereby repealed in its entirety.
