Present law terminates the recommendation of marijuana for therapeutic use on Jan. 1, 2020. Proposed law extends the termination date from 2020 to 2025. Present law authorizes the prescribing of marijuana for therapeutic use when the F.D.A. moves marijuana from a Schedule I drug to Schedule II.
