POSTSECONDARY ED: Provides for distribution of information regarding threats
to school safety to students on postsecondary campuses.
DIGEST
Proposed law requires public postsecondary education institutions to offer information on
recognizing and reporting potential threats to campus safety, including posts on the internet.
Proposed law requires campus officials to address the following, at a minimum, in the
information distributed:
(1)The ability to detect potential online threats to campus safety.
(2)The reporting system at the campus.
Proposed law requires school officials and campus security officers to further report online
content to local law enforcement agencies, when it is deemed potentially dangerous.
