HLS 18RS-555 REENGROSSED HB NO. 91 Present law provides that the size of a designated gaming area of an eligible gaming facility shall not exceed 15,000 square feet. Proposed law changes present law to provide that the size of a designated gaming area of an eligible gaming facility shall not contain more than 1,632 gaming positions. (Amends R.S. 27:372(A)) Summary of Amendments Adopted by House The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice to the original bill: 1. Change the number of authorized gaming positions from 1,735 to 1,632. 2. Change the maximum number of tournaments an eligible facility may conduct each year from five to four. 3. Provide that no limit shall be imposed on the number of tournaments or the length of tournaments an eligible facility may conduct, if the tournaments do not utilize more than the maximum amount of slot machines the eligible facility is authorized to have.
