SENATE BILL NO. 23

REPRESENTATIVES DEVILLIER, EMERSON, LEBAS, DUSTIN
MILLER AND PIERRE 
ROADS/HIGHWAYS.  Designates the interchange of I-49 Exit 11 and Louisiana Highway
93 near Sunset and Grand Coteau in St. Landry Parish as the "Armand J. Brinkhaus
Interchange". (8/1/18)
1	AN ACT
2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate the interchange of Interstate 49 Exit 11
3 and Louisiana Highway 93 near the towns of Sunset and Grand Coteau, Louisiana,
4 in St. Landry Parish, as the "Armand J. Brinkhaus Interchange"; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The interchange of Interstate 49 Exit 11 and Louisiana Highway 93 near
8 the towns of Sunset and Grand Coteau, Louisiana, in St. Landry Parish, is hereby designated
9 as the "Armand J. Brinkhaus Interchange". 
10 Section 2.  The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby directed
11 to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation, provided local or private monies
12 are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs for the material,
13 fabrication cost, mounting posts, and installation required for installation of each sign, not
14 to exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.
