Present law relative to the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (Board) provides for the
procedure and causes for refusal to issue or revocation of any license or permit under its authority.
Proposed law provides that no proceeding for disciplinary action may commence prior to receipt by
the Board of a complaint as provided for in present law.
Effective August 1, 2018.
