DIGEST SB 331 Reengrossed 2018 Regular Session Colomb Present law requires the issuance of a hang tag for a person with a permanent mobility impairment and upon a showing of good cause, renewable as any driver's license, for a period of four years and which remains valid until revoked or suspended. Proposed law changes the renewal period from four years to ten years. Present law authorizes any person with a permanent mobility impairment to obtain a hang tag or mobility impaired identification card at the issuance cost of $3.00. Proposed law changes the issuance cost from $3.00 to $7.50. Effective August 1, 2018. (Amends R.S. 47:463.4(B)(1) and (D)) Summary of Amendments Adopted by Senate Senate Floor Amendments to engrossed bill 1.
