DIGEST SB 432 Reengrossed 2018 Regular Session Chabert Present law requires the CPRA board to develop a coastal master plan when necessary, or at a minimum, every five years. Proposed law changes the five year requirement to six years. Proposed law provides that the 2017 master plan will be effective through 2023. Effective August 1, 2018. (Amends R.S. 49:214.5.3(A)(1)) Summary of Amendments Adopted by Senate Committee Amendments Proposed by Senate Committee on Natural Resources to the original bill 1. Changes the four-year requirement for adoption of the master plan to a six-year requirement. 2. Makes the 2017 master plan effective through 2023. 3. Requires the CPRA board to include a four-year projection of funding of projects and programs in the annual plan rather than current three-year projection. Senate Floor Amendments to engrossed bill 1. Makes technical changes. 2. Removes provision that would change present law funding projections from three years to four years in the annual plan.
