(8/1/18) 1 AN ACT 2 To repeal R.S. 9:4861(4)(b)(iii), relative to the Louisiana Oil Well Lien Act; to provide for 3 the definition of operations; to remove the disposal of salt water or another waste 4 substance from the list of activities that is not included in the definition of 5 operations; and to provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. DIGEST SB 456 Original 2018 Regular Session Johns Present law defines what is and is not operations for purposes of the Louisiana Oil Well Lien Act, and includes salt water or another waste substance after placed in a means of transportation for disposal, as an activity that is not included in operations. Proposed law removes the disposal of salt water or another waste substance from the list of activities that is not included in the definition of operations. Effective August 1, 2018.
