DIGEST SB 506 Engrossed 2018 Regular Session Mills Present law establishes the Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee, consisting of 12 members, within the LSBME. Proposed law increases the number of members to 14. Present law provides for eight members appointed by the governor. Proposed law adds two gubernatorial appointment positions for an individual nominated by the Louisiana Community Technical College System and nominated by the Board of Regents. Proposed law updates the association International Society for Clinical Laboratory Technology to its current trade name of American Association of Bioanalysts. Present law provides for initial appointments to the committee. Proposed law repeals these provisions. Effective August 1, 2018.
