ACT 390 (SB 506) 2018 Regular Session Mills
Prior law established the Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee, consisting of 12
members, within the LSBME. New law increases the number of members to 14.
Prior law provided for eight members appointed by the governor. New law adds two
gubernatorial appointment positions for an individual nominated by the Louisiana
Community Technical College System and nominated by the Board of Regents.
New law updates the association International Society for Clinical Laboratory Technology
to its current trade name of American Association of Bioanalysts.
Prior law provided for initial appointments to the committee. New law repeals these
provisions.
Effective August 1, 2018.
