PUBLIC LANDS. Authorizes the secretary of the Department of Transportation and
Development to transfer certain state property in Tangipahoa Parish. (8/1/18)
1 AN ACT
2 To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3 of certain state property in Tangipahoa Parish; to provide for the property
4 description; to provide terms and conditions; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. The secretary of the Department of Transportation and
7 Development, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby
8 authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver any interest,
9 the state may have to all or any portion of the following described parcel of property
10 to Virgil Allen:
11 Lots 1 and 2, Block B, Jones Island Realty Co. Subdivision in Section 4,
12 Township 9 South, Range 8 East, G.L.D., Parish of Tangipahoa, Louisiana.
13 Section 2. The secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development
14 is hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and
15 stipulations and to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any
16 conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title to the property described
17 in Section 1, and as more specifically described in any such agreements entered into

1 and documents executed by and between the secretary of the Department of
2 Transportation and Development and Virgil Allen.
