Prior law authorized the Lafourche Parish Tourist Commission to levy a three percent
occupancy tax on hotel rooms, motel rooms, and overnight camping facilities within its
jurisdiction.
New law increases the authorization from three to four percent.
Effective upon signature of the governor (May 23, 2018).
