SB 557 Reengrossed 2018 Regular Session Bishop
Proposed law, relative to levee district police officers, authorizes the payment of extra compensation
to officers who are full-time employees, are paid a salary of not less than $800 per month, have
completed and passed a post-certified training program as provided in R.S. 40:2405, and have
completed or hereafter completes one year of service, by the district by which they are employed
with district funds in an amount up to but not greater than the amount authorized for harbor police
officers, fireboat operators, and bridge police officers by law.
Effective August 1, 2018.
