Present law provides for the duty of the coroner to hold autopsies and investigations.
Present law provides that a final report must be prepared by the coroner or his designee of public
records.
Proposed law retains present law and adds that the Death Investigation Records of the Corner shall
include the following: Fact of Death Letter, Death Investigation Report, Coroner's Report, and Post-
Mortem Forensic Medical Examination Report.
Effective August 1, 2018.
