RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 405 (SB 75) 2018 Regular Session Boudreaux Prior law provided that when a health profession licensing board becomes aware of a prescriber's failure to comply with Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) access requirements, the board shall consider such notice as a complaint against the licensee. New law requires that the health profession licensing board give the prescriber notice and opportunity to come into compliance with the statutory PMP requirements upon the prescriber's first failure to comply and shall consider second and subsequent failures to comply as a complaint against the licensee. Effective August 1, 2018. (Amends R.S. 40:978(F)(2))
