DIGEST SB 76 Engrossed 2018 Regular Session Boudreaux Present law prohibits taking certain contraband into state-owned and administered hospitals. Proposed law is applicable to all hospitals. Present law identifies one form of contraband prohibited in hospitals as narcotic or hypnotic drugs that create a hypnotic effect if taken internally. Proposed law modernizes this definition to include any controlled dangerous substance that has not been prescribed or recommended in accordance with the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law.
