Expresses condolences upon the death of Farid Bogani. 1 A RESOLUTION 2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the 3 death of Farid Bogani, chief engineering and construction officer for Cameron LNG, 4 charged with leading the execution of that company's construction of their 5 liquefaction project in Hackberry, Louisiana. 6 WHEREAS, Farid Bogani, aged sixty-two, was vice president of engineering and 7 construction for Sempra LNG & Midstream in addition to his particular duties at Cameron 8 LNG; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Bogani joined Sempra LNG & Midstream in 2013 specifically to 10 assemble a team with world-class talent and capabilities in LNG liquefaction and lead the 11 company's efforts in the execution of the Cameron LNG project in Louisiana; and 12 WHEREAS, Farid Bogani earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from 13 the University of Leeds in England, graduating with honors; and 14 WHEREAS, Mr. Bogani brought to the Cameron LNG project three decades of 15 global experience in LNG project development and management, a background that made 16 him a valued team member within Sempra LNG & Midstream and the Cameron LNG 17 project, specifically; and 18 WHEREAS, Mr. Bogani was chosen to work on assignments in the Middle East, Page 1 of 2 SR NO. 162 SLS 18RS-3270 ORIGINAL 1 Australia, Africa, and the United States in a career that spanned multiple engineering and 2 managerial assignments with various companies, including Woodside Energy, Ltd., Shell 3 Gas and Power, Nigeria LNG, and Brunei LNG, Ltd.; and 4 WHEREAS, with numerous assignments around the globe, Mr. Bogani was always 5 grounded by a family he dearly loved, his wife, Pat, and daughters Farah and Qaisara, who 6 he leaves to treasure his memory and their life together; and 7 WHEREAS, Farid Bogani, using his considerable engineering and managerial 8 expertise, left his mark on LNG projects around the world and was greatly respected in this 9 sector focused on bringing the clean fuel of natural gas to populations on nearly all 10 continents; and 11 WHEREAS, recognizing his commitment to excellence and his substantial 12 contributions to the people in the state, specifically his management of the team tasked with 13 the execution of the Cameron LNG liquefaction project in Hackberry, Louisiana, Farid 14 Bogani and his valuable skills will be sorely missed in Louisiana. 15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana 16 does hereby express sincere condolences upon the death of Farid Bogani, vice president of 17 engineering and construction for Sempra LNG & Midstream and chief engineering and 18 construction officer for Cameron LNG in Hackberry, Louisiana. 19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Mrs. 20 Pat Bogani and her daughters, through Cameron LNG in Hackberry, Louisiana.
