R.S. 3:3601(B)(2) and (3) are hereby amended and reenacted to read as 8follows: 9 ยง3601. Citation; legislative findings; purpose 10 * * * 11 B. 12 * * * 13 (2) The legislature further finds and declares that owners of agricultural land, 14 including forest and timber land, and the public, which depends upon agricultural 15 production, need to be protected from further diminution in value of agricultural land 16 by providing safeguards and by establishing a more reliable remedy for diminution 17 in value of agricultural land caused by governmental entities. 18 (3) The legislature also finds and declares that agricultural operations, 19 including forest and timber operations, and the public, which depends upon 20 agricultural production, need to be protected from any nuisance actions.
