Abstract: Requires that all persons who apply for any license or certificate of authority shall keep
their application and any supplemental information current pending review by the
commissioner of insurance.
Present law requires, in order to transact a business of insurance in this state, a person to be properly
qualified as an insurer of a type permitted by law by applying for a license or certificate of authority
with the commissioner of insurance.
Proposed law extends present law to provide that all persons applying for a license or certificate of
authority shall keep their application and any supplemental information current while pending review
by the commissioner of insurance.
Effective July 1, 2019.
