Abstract: Requires that all persons who apply for any license or certificate of authority notify the
commissioner of insurance of any changes to the content of their application.
Present law requires, in order to transact a business of insurance in this state, a person to be properly
qualified as an insurer of a type permitted by law by applying for a license or certificate of authority
with the commissioner of insurance.
Proposed law extends present law to require that all persons applying for a license or certificate of
authority shall notify the commissioner of insurance of any changes to the content of their
application.
Effective July 1, 2019.

Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Insurance to the original bill:
1. Make technical changes.
2. Change proposed law requiring the applicant to file supplemental information during the
pendency of the application to now require applicants to notify the commissioner of
insurance of any changes made to their application.
