Existing law requires, in order to transact a business of insurance in this state, a person to be
properly qualified as an insurer of a type permitted by law by applying for a license or
certificate of authority with the commissioner of insurance.
New law requires that all persons applying for a license or certificate of authority notify the
commissioner of insurance of any changes to the content of their application.
Effective July 1, 2019.
