Existing law defines "private procurement unit" for purposes of the La. Procurement Code
as any regionally accredited independent college or university in La. that is a member of the
La. Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
Prior law included early childhood learning centers within the definition of "private
procurement unit".
New law corrects the statutory reference from early childhood learning centers to early
learning centers within the definition of "private procurement unit" for purposes of the La.
Procurement Code and corrects the statutory cite.
Effective August 1, 2019.
