RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 393 (HB 230) 2019 Regular Session Mike Johnson Existing law provides for the prohibition of employers from hiring licensed ambulance personnel or nonlicensed persons when they have been convicted of certain criminal offenses enumerated within existing law. New law removes a reference to R.S. 14:62.1 which has been repealed. New law adds the crime of identity theft to the list of prohibited offenses that would prohibit employment as a licensed ambulance personnel or nonlicensed person. New law adds the crime of abuse of persons with infirmities through electronic means to the list of prohibited offenses that would prohibit employment as a licensed ambulance personnel or nonlicensed person. Effective upon signature of governor (August 1, 2019). (Amends R.S. 40:1203.3(A)(1))
