1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 33:4712.20 and 4712.21, relative to naming public buildings; to authorize the
3 governing authority of certain parishes to name certain buildings after living persons;
4 and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 33:4712.20 and 4712.21 are hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 §4712.20. Naming of sports complex by the governing authority of certain parishes
8 Notwithstanding R.S. 42:267 or any other law to the contrary, the governing
9 authority of a parish with a population of not less than three hundred fifty thousand
10 persons and not more than four hundred thirty-five thousand persons according to the
11 most recent federal decennial census may name a sports complex in honor of a living
12 person.
13 §4712.21. Naming of certain buildings, parks and civic complex by the governing
14 authority of certain parishes
15 Notwithstanding R.S. 42:267 or any other law to the contrary, the governing
16 authority of a parish with a population of not less than three hundred forty thousand
17 and not more than four hundred twenty thousand persons according to the most
