Existing law provides certain requirements for the education and training of emergency
medical personnel and peace officers.
New law retains existing law and requires the La. Dept. of Health, bureau of emergency
medical services and the Council on Peace Officer Standards and Training to incorporate
Alzheimer's and dementia training into their education training programs.
Effective August 1, 2019.
(Amends R.S. 40:2405.8(G); Adds R.S. 40:1133.1(D) and 2405.8(H))
