BY REPRESENTATIVE LYONS AND SENATOR BARROW
1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:2154(A)(12), relative to behavioral health services providers;
3 to exempt local public school governing authorities from certain behavioral health
4 services provider licensing requirements; to provide criteria for such exemption; and
5 to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 40:2154(A)(12) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 ยง2154. Applicability
9 A. The provisions of this Part shall not apply to the licensing of any of the
10 following facilities or persons and shall not be construed as requiring any of the
11 following facilities or persons to seek licensure as a behavioral health services
12 provider:

14 (12)(a) School-based health clinics and centers that are certified by the
15 Louisiana Department of Health, office of public health, and enrolled in the
16 Louisiana Medicaid program.

1 (b) Local public school governing authorities, if such exemption is
2 applicable to only school-based behavioral health services provided through the
