HIGHWAYS: Designates a portion of United States Highway 190, Gause Boulevard West,
as the "Officer Jason Seals Memorial Highway"
1 AN ACT
2To designate a portion of United States Highway 190 in Slidell, Louisiana as the "Officer
3 Jason Seals Memorial Highway"; to designate a portion of United States Highway
4 171 in Shreveport, Louisiana as the "Ralph D. Balentine Memorial Highway"; and
5 to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The portion of United States Highway 190, otherwise known as Gause
8Boulevard West, from its intersection with Northshore Boulevard to its intersection with
9United States Highway 11, otherwise known as Front Street, in Slidell, Louisiana shall be
10hereafter known and designated as the "Officer Jason Seals Memorial Highway".
11 Section 2. The portion of United States Highway 171, otherwise known as Mansfield
12Road, from its intersection with Kings Highway to its intersection with Midway Avenue in
13Shreveport, Louisiana shall be hereafter known and designated as the "Ralph D. Balentine
14Memorial Highway".
15 Section 3. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
16hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation.
