Present law defines "bona fide resident" when purchasing a hunting or recreational fishing activities

or resident alien and has resided in this state continuously during the six months immediately prior
to the date on which he applies for any such license, and who has manifested his intent to remain in
this state by establishing La. as his legal domicile. Requires certain documentation of their intent
to establish La. as their legal domicile.
Proposed law includes under the definition of "bona fide resident" for these purposes any person who
served in and was honorably discharged from the U.S. armed forces or a reserve component of the
U.S. armed forces, including the National Guard, and who possesses a La. driver's license or a
special identification card issued by the Dept. of Public Safety and Corrections in lieu of a driver's
