R.S. 3:4272(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 7 ยง4272. Members; appointment; qualifications; terms of office 8 A. The commission shall consist of seven members, five of whom shall be 9 appointed by the governor, subject to confirmation by the Senate, and two of whom 10 shall serve ex officio--namely, the head of the department of forestry at Louisiana 11 State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College and the secretary of the 12 Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Forestry Commission. Present law establishes the La. Forestry Commission composed of seven members, five appointed by the governor and two serving ex officio. The two ex officio members are the head of the LSU department of forestry and the secretary of the Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries. Proposed law authorizes the secretary of the Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries to designate a person from his staff to serve on the commission in his stead.
