Abstract: Allows the secretary of the Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries to designate a member of his
staff to serve in his stead on the La. Forestry Commission.
Present law establishes the La. Forestry Commission composed of seven members, five appointed
by the governor and two serving ex officio. The two ex officio members are the head of the LSU
department of forestry and the secretary of the Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Proposed law authorizes the secretary of the Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries to designate a person
from his staff to serve on the commission in his stead.
