HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 116
BY REPRESENTATIVES DUPLESSIS, HODGES, JACKSON, MACK, MUSCARELLO,
POPE, PUGH, SCHEXNAYDER, SIMON, AND WHITE
A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend Judge Robert H. Morrison, III, on his work as a liaison for the Louisiana
Legislature and the Louisiana District Judges Association.
WHEREAS, the members of the Legislature of Louisiana wish to recognize Judge
Robert H. Morrison, III, for his tireless work as a liaison for the Louisiana Legislature and
the Louisiana District Judges Association (LDJA) for more than twenty years; and
WHEREAS, Judge Morrison has given generously of his time during every regular
legislative session and has remained unwavering in his commitment to the judicial system
in working with legislators in amending bill language so as to achieve the desired result; and
WHEREAS, in each legislative session, Judge Morrison has worked with legislators
as their legislation has proceeded through the legislative process and has offered cooperative
assistance to legislators in amending bill language so as to achieve the desired result; and
WHEREAS, Judge Morrison demonstrated great diplomacy and consummate
leadership when working with the legislators to promote access to justice, equality, fairness,
and integrity in all judicial proceedings; and
WHEREAS, his humility, kindness, energy, graciousness, and dedication to the
judiciary as well as to the legislative process has enriched those fortunate enough to know
and work with him; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Legislature of Louisiana to acknowledge and offer
sincere gratitude to Judge Morrison for his work as chair of the LDJA Legislative
Committee, for his remarkable service to the judiciary, and for his valued assistance to the
members of the Louisiana Legislature.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
extend collective and sincere thanks to Judge Robert H. Morrison, III, for his selfless work
for more than twenty years.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express
its appreciation and gratitude for his contributions and wishes him well in all the years to
come.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Judge
Robert H. Morrison, III.
