COMMENDATIONS: Commends and expresses appreciation to the Honorable Patrick
Connick for his outstanding legislative service and recognizes his contributions to
his district and the state
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Patrick Connick and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to Jefferson Parish and the state of Louisiana, particularly
4 during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
5 Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Patrick Connick is a notable public servant who has served with
7excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2008, during which time he has
8fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 84 and the state in an
9honorable and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, a graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School, Representative Connick
11earned his bachelor of arts and juris doctor degrees from Loyola University in New Orleans;
12and
13 WHEREAS, Representative Connick has been a proud member of the Jefferson
14Parish Delegation and the Republican Delegation; and
15 WHEREAS, Representative Connick's diligent committee service has included
16serving as a member of the House Committee on Appropriations, the House Committee on
17Appropriations Subcommittee on Business Development, the House Committee on
18Commerce, the House Committee on House and Governmental Affairs, the House
19Committee on Judiciary, the House Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, and
20the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget; and

1 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
2Connick has authored and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
3 WHEREAS, Patrick Connick will forever have a special place in the chronicles of
4the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
5 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
6of his life, Representative Connick merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
7singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
8the Louisiana House of Representatives.
9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
10Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Patrick Connick; does hereby
11extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments, particularly
12during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been
13marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in
14Jefferson Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to him
15for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his energy
16to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
18expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Connick for his service to the citizens of
19Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
20body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
21prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
23Honorable Patrick Connick.
