COMMENDATIONS: Commends La'Kendria Babers on being selected 2018 Natchitoches
Regional Medical Center's Registered Nurse of the Year
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend La'Kendria Babers upon her selection by the Natchitoches Regional Medical
3 Center as the 2018 Registered Nurse of the Year.
4 WHEREAS, Ms. Babers is a model of dedication, efficiency, and professionalism
5in the execution of her nursing duties at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center's Intensive
6Care Unit; she is known for her ability to promote teamwork in her assigned work unit and
7in other areas of the hospital; and
8 WHEREAS, a positive role model for other nurses, Ms. Babers is a participant on
9the Patient Family Advisory Council and she helps to evaluate current processes at the
10hospital; she contributes in the development of new processes and shares useful ideas on
11ways to improve the quality of care provided to patients and to ensure their safety; and
12 WHEREAS, La'Kendria Babers is heralded by her colleagues for her diligence in
13identifying problems and concerns and providing workable, effective solutions; and
14 WHEREAS, at the age of twenty-four, La'Kendria Babers holds a bachelor's degree
15in the science of nursing and is a registered nurse in Louisiana who has practiced her
16profession for three years; it is fitting to commend her selection by the Natchitoches
17Regional Medical Center as the 2018 Registered Nurse of the Year.
18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
19Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend La'Kendria Babers upon being named the
202018 Registered Nurse of the Year at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center; does hereby

1recognize the outstanding service she provides to patients under her care; and does hereby
2extend to her best wishes and hopes for continued excellence in the field of nursing.
3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
4to La'Kendria Babers.
