HLS 19RS-1901 ORIGINAL 2019 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 130 BY REPRESENTATIVE MOORE COMMENDATIONS: Commends Cur'Dericka Rice, a seventh grade student at Richwood Middle School, for scoring twenty-three on her ACT 1 A RESOLUTION 2To commend Cur'Dericka Rice upon earning an ACT score of twenty-three at the age of 3 twelve. 4 WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the Louisiana House of Representatives 5recognizes the energy, intelligence, and self-motivation of Cur'Dericka Rice, an exceptional 6student and a true role model among her peers; and 7 WHEREAS, Cur'Dericka Rice is a seventh grade student at Richwood Middle School 8in Monroe; she was an accelerated reader in the fourth and fifth grades and placed in the top 9three out of more than two hundred students at a recent Beta Club academic convention; and 10 WHEREAS, as a fifth grader at Robinson Elementary School, Cur'Dericka was 11named a 2016-2017 Ouachita Parish Student of the Year; and 12 WHEREAS, as a twelve-year-old, she took the ACT in February and scored a 13twenty-three; and 14 WHEREAS, Cur'Dericka Rice is a truly talented Louisiana student who demonstrates 15outstanding academic excellence that is commendable. 16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the 17Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Cur'Dericka Rice upon earning an ACT 18score of twenty-three at the age of twelve; does hereby recognize and record for posterity 19her remarkable success; and does hereby wish Cur'Dericka full measures of success and 20happiness in her future.
