ENROLLED 2019 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 130 BY REPRESENTATIVE MOORE A RESOLUTION To commend Cur'Dericka Rice upon earning an ACT score of twenty-three at the age of twelve. WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the Louisiana House of Representatives recognizes the energy, intelligence, and self-motivation of Cur'Dericka Rice, an exceptional student and a true role model among her peers; and WHEREAS, Cur'Dericka Rice is a seventh grade student at Richwood Middle School in Monroe; she was an accelerated reader in the fourth and fifth grades and placed in the top three out of more than two hundred students at a recent Beta Club academic convention; and WHEREAS, as a fifth grader at Robinson Elementary School, Cur'Dericka was named a 2016-2017 Ouachita Parish Student of the Year; and WHEREAS, as a twelve-year-old, she took the ACT in February and scored a twenty-three; and WHEREAS, Cur'Dericka Rice is a truly talented Louisiana student who demonstrates outstanding academic excellence that is commendable. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Cur'Dericka Rice upon earning an ACT score of twenty-three at the age of twelve; does hereby recognize and record for posterity her remarkable success; and does hereby wish Cur'Dericka full measures of success and happiness in her future.
