A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable J. Kevin Pearson and to express enduring gratitude for his
outstanding contributions to St. Tammany Parish, and the state of Louisiana,
particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
Representatives.
WHEREAS, J. Kevin Pearson is a notable public servant who has served with
excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2008, during which time he has
fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 76 and the state in an
honorable and dedicated manner; and
WHEREAS, Representative Pearson matriculated at DeVry Institute, University of
New Orleans, and the College of Financial Planning; and
WHEREAS, Representative Pearson has been a proud member of the Republican
Delegation and Rural Caucus; and
WHEREAS, Representative Pearson's diligent committee service has included
serving as the chairman of the House Committee on Retirement; he has served as a member
of the House Committee on Appropriations, the House Committee on Appropriations

Subcommittee on Education, the House Committee on Commerce, and the House
Committee on Insurance; and
WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Pearson
has authored and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
WHEREAS, J. Kevin Pearson will forever have a special place in the chronicles of
the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
of his life, Representative Pearson merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
the Louisiana House of Representatives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable J. Kevin Pearson; does hereby
extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments, particularly
during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been
marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in
St. Tammany Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute
to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his
energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Pearson for his service to the citizens of
Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
Honorable J. Kevin Pearson.
