COMMENDATIONS: Commends Leadership Tangipahoa for its leadership and
community development efforts

2To commend Leadership Tangipahoa for its leadership and community development efforts.
3 WHEREAS, the mission of Leadership Tangipahoa is to improve the quality of life
4in Tangipahoa Parish by training a diverse group of leaders and emerging leaders on the
5intersections of different aspects of their community; and
6 WHEREAS, the continued growth of Tangipahoa Parish signals the need for
7investment in informed and responsible leaders; and
8 WHEREAS, Leadership Tangipahoa seeks out individuals interested in developing
9their leadership skills, increasing their knowledge of the community, and engaging in
10community affairs; and
11 WHEREAS, the organization was established by the chambers of commerce in
12Amite, Hammond, Independence, Kentwood, and Ponchatoula, with the goal of preparing
13participants for positions in local business, government, and civic organizations; and
14 WHEREAS, the organizers and participants deserve to be recognized for working
15together in pursuit of a broad scope of opportunities for community growth.
16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
17Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Leadership Tangipahoa for its leadership
18and community development efforts; does hereby recognize and record for posterity its
19contributions to Tangipahoa Parish; and does hereby wish everyone involved in this fine
20organization every measure of success and happiness in the years to come.
