COMMENDATIONS: Commends and expresses appreciation to the Honorable Frank A.
Hoffmann for his outstanding legislative service and recognizes his contributions to
his district and the state
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Frank A. Hoffmann and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to Ouachita Parish and the state of Louisiana, particularly
4 during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
5 Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Frank A. Hoffmann is a notable public servant who has served with
7excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2008, during which time he has
8fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 15 and the state in an
9honorable and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Hoffmann earned his bachelor of arts, master of
11education, and doctor of education degrees from the University of Louisiana at Monroe; and
12 WHEREAS, Representative Hoffmann has been a proud member of the North
13Louisiana Delegation, Republican Delegation, and Rural Caucus; and
14 WHEREAS, Representative Hoffmann's diligent committee service has included
15serving as the chairman and vice-chairman of the House Committee on Health and Welfare,
16the vice-chairman of the House Committee on Education, and a member of the House
17Committee on Commerce, the House Committee on Retirement, the House Committee on
18Ways and Means, and the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay; and
19 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
20Hoffmann has authored and supported many important pieces of legislation; and

1 WHEREAS, Frank A. Hoffmann will forever have a special place in the chronicles
2of the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
3 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
4of his life, Representative Hoffmann merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
5singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as a member of the Louisiana
6House of Representatives.
7 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
8Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Frank A. Hoffmann; does
9hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
10particularly during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
11has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents
12in Ouachita Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to
13him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his
14energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
16expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Hoffmann for his service to the citizens of
17Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
18body, and hereby extends to him the best wishes of all of his colleagues for continued
19prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
21to the Honorable Frank A. Hoffmann.
