COMMENDATIONS: Commends Robert and Vicki Myers for their company being
selected by the Claiborne Chamber of Commerce as the 2018 Business of the Year
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Robert and Vicki Myers upon their company being selected by the Claiborne
3 Chamber of Commerce as the 2018 Business of the Year.
4 WHEREAS, Robert Myers is an engineer who in 1999 turned his ideas for a fish
5cooker into a business line of fryers, grills, express smokers, boilers, griddles, and cookers
6that bear the name "Cajun" and promote a uniquely Louisiana culture; and
7 WHEREAS, Robert and his wife Vicki Myers are supporters of Homer Lions Club,
8various charities in Minden and Claiborne Parish, and the Claiborne Chamber of Commerce,
9and are 2019 inductees into the Southern Food Hall of Fame; and
10 WHEREAS, R&V Works, the company owned by Robert and Vicki Myers, was
11named 2018 Business of the Year by the Claiborne Chamber of Commerce; and
12 WHEREAS, the strength of Louisiana comes from people like Robert and Vicki
13Myers, hard working entrepreneurs committed to their customers and communities, and they
14are deserving of commendation and gratitude.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Robert and Vicki Myers
17upon their company being selected by the Claiborne Chamber of Commerce as the 2018
18Business of the Year and does hereby express hopes for continued success.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
20Robert and Vicki Myers.
