COMMENDATIONS: Commends and expresses appreciation to the Honorable Charles R.
"Bubba" Chaney for his outstanding legislative service and recognizes his
contributions to his district and the state
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Charles R. "Bubba" Chaney and to express enduring gratitude
3 for his outstanding contributions to the parishes of East Carroll, Madison,
4 Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, and West Carroll, and the state of Louisiana,
5 particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
6 Representatives.
7 WHEREAS, Bubba Chaney is a notable public servant who has served with
8excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2008, during which time he has
9fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 19 and the state in an
10honorable and dedicated manner; and
11 WHEREAS, a graduate of Rayville High School, he received his bachelor of science
12from Louisiana State University; and
13 WHEREAS, Representative Chaney has been a proud member of the Republican
14Delegation, Rural Caucus, and North Louisiana Delegation; and
15 WHEREAS, Representative Chaney's diligent committee service has included
16serving as the chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on
17Infrastructure and Resources, and being a member of the House Committee on Agriculture,
18Forestry, Aquaculture, and Rural Development, the House Committee on Appropriations,
19the House Committee on Civil Law and Procedure, the House Committee on Education, the

1House Committee on Enrollment, the House Committee on Natural Resources and
2Environment, and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget; and
3 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Chaney
4has authored and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
5 WHEREAS, Bubba Chaney will forever have a special place in the chronicles of the
6history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
7 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
8of his life, Representative Chaney merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
9contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of the
10Louisiana House of Representatives.
11 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
12Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Charles R. "Bubba" Chaney;
13does hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
14particularly during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
15has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents
16in the parishes of East Carroll, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, and West Carroll,
17and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to him for the generous
18and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his energy to the service of
19his family, friends, community, and state.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
21expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Chaney for his service to the citizens of
22Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
23body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
24prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
26Honorable Charles R. "Bubba" Chaney.
