SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH: Designates September 23-29, 2019, as Louisiana Craft
Brewer Week in Louisiana
1 A RESOLUTION
2To designate the week of September 23 through 29, 2019, as Louisiana Craft Brewer Week
3 in Louisiana.
4 WHEREAS, Louisiana craft breweries have been awarded numerous medals and
5awards for their superior products; and
6 WHEREAS, these breweries support responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages
7and promote programs, education, and legislation aimed at preventing the over consumption
8of alcoholic beverages; and
9 WHEREAS, similarly, Louisiana craft breweries promote programs, education, and
10legislation aimed at preventing underage consumption of alcoholic beverages; and
11 WHEREAS, by brewing their products in an ecologically sound manner, these
12breweries have contributed to the preservation of Louisiana's unique environment; and
13 WHEREAS, in response to recent natural disasters, Louisiana craft breweries have
14been instrumental in raising not only awareness, but money as well; and
15 WHEREAS, these breweries support the state's agriculture by using the finest
16Louisiana-grown products; and
17 WHEREAS, by brewing beer specifically designed to complement and highlight the
18state's extraordinary cuisine, Louisiana's breweries help to support the flourishing and
19exporting of Louisiana's rich culture.
20 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
21Legislature of Louisiana does hereby designate the week of September 23 through 29, 2019,

1as Louisiana Craft Brewer Week in Louisiana and does hereby commend Louisiana's craft
2brewers for their many contributions to the great state of Louisiana.
