Urges and requests the speaker of the House to appoint a committee to study and make
recommendations relative to the practicality and feasibility of establishing a funding mechanism for
public-private partnership investment in Louisiana infrastructure projects.
Requires the committee to be comprised of the following members:
(1) The chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means, or his designee
(2) The chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works,
or his designee
(3) The secretary of the Dept. of Transportation and Development, or his designee.
(4) The secretary of the Dept. of Revenue, or his designee.
(5) The secretary of the Dept. of Economic Development, or his designee.
(6) At least five additional members appointed by the speaker of the House of
Representatives, who shall be representatives of industry and community stakeholders.
Requires the committee to submit a report detailing the results of the study and the recommendations
of the committee no later than Feb. 1, 2020.
