HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 275
BY REPRESENTATIVE STEFANSKI
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Northside Christian High School baseball team on winning the 2019
Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division V state championship.
WHEREAS, the Northside Christian Warriors beat the Runnels Raiders 2-1 at
McMurray Park in Sulphur on May 13, 2019, to capture the Louisiana High School Athletic
Association Division V state title; and
WHEREAS, the Raiders led 1-0 after the top of the first inning; Northside Christian
and Runnels tied up in the second inning and stayed at 1-1 going into the sixth; Matthew
Richard's hit to left field in the bottom of the sixth gave the Warriors the edge they needed;
and
WHEREAS, relief pitcher Keegan Foreman's eleventh strikeout in the top of the
seventh put the finishing touch on Northside's victory; Keegan was named the Outstanding
Player of the title game; and
WHEREAS, each Warrior deserves recognition for his extraordinary performance
throughout the season and in the Division V playoffs: Koye Credeur, Drew Doyle, Keegan
Foreman, Dustin Hernandez, Nickolas Jones, Lance Martin, Jacob Mendez, Gabe Perry,
Matthew Richard, Anthony Stansbury, Hudson Suitor, Johnathan Taylor, Jagger
Thibodeaux, and John Walker; and
WHEREAS, without the training, practice, and winning ethic instilled into the
Northside Christian High School baseball Warriors by Coach Broc Hernandez and his
assistant coach, Aaron Thibodeaux, and managers, Garrett Kidder and Isaac Temple, these
fine young men would not have achieved the 2019 Division V title; Coach Hernandez and
his staff have given the Warriors the tools needed for success both on and off the baseball
field; and

WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the 2019 Northside Christian High School
Warriors baseball team for their exemplary performances throughout the season and in the
playoffs, particularly at the highest level of high school athletic competition in Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Northside Christian High School
baseball team on winning the 2019 Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division V
state championship and does hereby express the heartiest congratulations for the pride and
honor they bring to the school, their fans, the city of Crowley, and the state of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Coach Broc Hernandez.
