COMMENDAT IONS: Commends Astrid R. Clements for her world travels and spirit of
cultural adventure
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Astrid R. Clements for her world travels and spirit of cultural adventure.
3 WHEREAS, Astrid R. Clements is a well-traveled businesswoman and entrepreneur
4who is passionate about helping people travel solo; and
5 WHEREAS, a transformative trip to Germany at the age of eighteen did more than
6cement her love for exploring; Astrid saw first-hand how traveling solo can bring out the
7best in people and create magical moments of discovery; and
8 WHEREAS, Astrid is a travel expert with over thirty-five years of experience; her
9work is dedicated to the idea that you don't need a travel partner to have the most glorious
10adventures; and
11 WHEREAS, Astrid has experienced what the world has to offer in forty different
12countries and on five continents; in the United States, she has visited thirty-seven states; and
13 WHEREAS, a Chinese proverb tells us, "Don't listen to what they say; go see", and
14Astrid R. Clements has fully embraced such sentiment.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Astrid R. Clements for her world travels and
17spirit of cultural adventure; does hereby express appreciation for her sense of wonder and
18curiosity for exploration; and does hereby wish her safe travels on all her future journeys,
19wherever they may lead her.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
21Astrid R. Clements.
