HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 289

A RESOLUTION
To commend Astrid R. Clements for her world travels and spirit of cultural adventure.
WHEREAS, Astrid R. Clements is a well-traveled businesswoman and entrepreneur
who is passionate about helping people travel solo; and
WHEREAS, a transformative trip to Germany at the age of eighteen did more than
cement her love for exploring; Astrid saw first-hand how traveling solo can bring out the
best in people and create magical moments of discovery; and
WHEREAS, Astrid is a travel expert with over thirty-five years of experience; her
work is dedicated to the idea that you don't need a travel partner to have the most glorious
adventures; and
WHEREAS, Astrid has experienced what the world has to offer in forty different
countries and on five continents; in the United States, she has visited thirty-seven states; and
WHEREAS, a Chinese proverb tells us, "Don't listen to what they say; go see", and
Astrid R. Clements has fully embraced such sentiment.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Astrid R. Clements for her world travels and
spirit of cultural adventure; does hereby express appreciation for her sense of wonder and
curiosity for exploration; and does hereby wish her safe travels on all her future journeys,
wherever they may lead her.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Astrid R. Clements.
