COMMENDATIONS: Commends Paula Stewart on her retirement after more than thirty-
nine years of state service as the Bienville Parish registrar of voters

2To commend Paula Stewart on her retirement after more than thirty-nine years of state
3 service as the Bienville Parish registrar of voters.
4 WHEREAS, Paula Stewart began her career as Bienville Parish registrar of voters
5on June 30, 1980; and
6 WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a sincere measure of appreciation be expressed to
7her for her many years of committed service and dedication and for her remarkable
8contributions to the state of Louisiana; and
9 WHEREAS, her attention to detail and understanding of the law, implementation of
10changes of voting machine equipment, and development of procedures concerning elections
11have been invaluable to the agency; and
12 WHEREAS, her professionalism, accountability, and dependability have been
13evident through the years to both colleagues and citizens of Bienville Parish and beyond; and
14 WHEREAS, Stewart's caring demeanor and infectious smile, along with her
15unparalleled knowledge of the job, will be greatly missed; and
16 WHEREAS, as she prepares to begin the next exciting and productive chapter of her
17life, Stewart merits a sincere measure of commendation for the exemplary strides she has
18taken as an exceptional civil servant.
19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
20Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Paula Stewart for her incredible
21contributions to her state through her service as the Bienville Parish registrar of voters, does

1hereby express its gratitude for her many years of service, and does hereby wish her much
2happiness and success in her future endeavors.
3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
