HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 92

COMMENDATIONS: Commends Aalayah Levy for her accomplishments
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Aalayah Levy for her accomplishments.
3 WHEREAS, the Baton Rouge Magnet High School senior has been offered more
4than $1 million in scholarships; and
5 WHEREAS, Aalayah Enjoli Levy was accepted to Baylor University, Dillard
6University, Howard University, Louisiana State University, Loyola University, Southern
7University, Spelman College, Tulane University, University of Miami, University of South
8Florida, University of Southern California, and Xavier University, and each school offered
9her scholarship amounts; and
10 WHEREAS, she is the daughter of Darrell and Heather Freeman; the senior plans on
11becoming a pediatric surgeon; and
12 WHEREAS, Aalayah will be graduating Baton Rouge Magnet High School with an
13impressive 4.6 GPA and a score of 35 on the ACT; and
14 WHEREAS, she is senior class vice president, received a National Merit
15Commendation, and is a member of National Honor Society, Beta Club, and Key Club;
16Aalayah has served as secretary of her high school's chapter of Puffs and Ponytails and has
17been a member of the African Heritage Club and the Docent Program; and
18 WHEREAS, she has volunteered her time with BREC (Parks and Recreation in
19Baton Rouge), Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital, Hightime Evangelistic Center in
20Baker, and Baton Rouge Delta Gems; in her free time, she enjoys baking, playing piano, and
21web design; and

1 WHEREAS, Aalayah Levy has committed herself to the highest level of excellence
2in her academic and extracurricular involvement, and such dedication deserves
3commendation.
4 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
5Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Aalayah Levy for her accomplishments and
6does hereby extend to her best wishes for continued success and happiness in all of her
7future endeavors.
8 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
9Aalayah Levy.
