ENROLLED 2019 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 92 BY REPRESENTATIVE JAMES A RESOLUTION To commend Aalayah Levy for her accomplishments. WHEREAS, the Baton Rouge Magnet High School senior has been offered more than $1 million in scholarships; and WHEREAS, Aalayah Enjoli Levy was accepted to Baylor University, Dillard University, Howard University, Louisiana State University, Loyola University, Southern University, Spelman College, Tulane University, University of Miami, University of South Florida, University of Southern California, and Xavier University, and each school offered her scholarship amounts; and WHEREAS, she is the daughter of Darrell and Heather Freeman; the senior plans on becoming a pediatric surgeon; and WHEREAS, Aalayah will be graduating Baton Rouge Magnet High School with an impressive 4.6 GPA and a score of 35 on the ACT; and WHEREAS, she is senior class vice president, received a National Merit Commendation, and is a member of National Honor Society, Beta Club, and Key Club; Aalayah has served as secretary of her high school's chapter of Puffs and Ponytails and has been a member of the African Heritage Club and the Docent Program; and WHEREAS, she has volunteered her time with BREC (Parks and Recreation in Baton Rouge), Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital, Hightime Evangelistic Center in Baker, and Baton Rouge Delta Gems; in her free time, she enjoys baking, playing piano, and web design; and Page 1 of 2 HR NO. 92 ENROLLED WHEREAS, Aalayah Levy has committed herself to the highest level of excellence in her academic and extracurricular involvement, and such dedication deserves commendation. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Aalayah Levy for her accomplishments and does hereby extend to her best wishes for continued success and happiness in all of her future endeavors.
